About

The Drawhive was developed by Mike Vesty of Woodside Apiaries.

 

Mike, the proprietor, has been a beekeeper for over thirty years and is also a qualified Cabinet Maker. Qualifications include:

    City & Guilds of London Final Examination in Cabinet Making.

             Furniture industries Full Technological Certificate.

 

The Drawhive was developed in 2004/5 and, after firstly supplying several local beekeepers, Drawhives were sold to beekeepers throughout the UK.

Production for sale ended in 2011 after the closure, on retirement, of Mike’s cabinet making business.
